Lalibella is an emerging artist of Ethiopian, Ugandan and African American heritage who has crafted an Afro-expressionist musical style uniquely her own. WHAT IS FASHION?

This was the question posed the Miu Miu musing salon last Thursday at the Miu Miu store on 57th street in New York City.
Guest of honor Andre Talley Leon summarized it as “a conversation with self” and truly so but fashion is much more, hence the need for a proper dialogue
The love for fashion was once laughable and seen as mere vanity or for the superficial; frowned upon when loved or obsessed over outside of functionality. While some of this is true and somewhat necessary a notion to surround its culture, fashion has helped define personal style and facilitated individualism. There is so much to be said of a singular factor that has and is clearly influencing many movements happening in Africa today. So I invite you to join in on this conversation.
