When the likes of The Sartorialist, Face Hunter, All The Pretty Birds and Jak and Jil amongst others first popped up at fashion weeks the world over snapping showgoers, no one would have chanced the fashion of the street may some day compete with that of the runway. It seems people are more concerned with how people interpret fashion these days.
Is how clothes are interpreted and captured by street photographers more important than even the shows?
With detailed commentary and pictures of spectators at fashion shows, now more than ever we’re noticing the prominence of street fashion. Ultimately, this begs the question: is attention moving away from designer shows? Has street wear/street become the new runway?
What are your thoughts on the show outside the shows?
